Beinlichová M. Czech labour market in relation to EU membership. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2017. This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of international labour migration with the effect on the Czech labour market after the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union. After the general introduction of basic concepts, this thesis provides an overview of the development of legislation concerning aliens on the territory of the Czech Republic and the Czech labour market. On the basic of statistical data, changes which have occurred in the development of the number of aliens on the Czech territory and in the labour market are identified here. Subsequently, the effects of these changes are evaluated. The findings are summarized at the end of this thesis.
Legal status of foreigners in the Czech legal order from human rights perspective - legal restrictions and their application

in English In her thesis entitled Legal status of foreigners in the Czech legal order from human rights perspective - legal restrictions and their application, the author deals with very actual and socially necessary topic of the position of foreigners in the Czech legal order. The main aim of the thesis is to point out the contradictions between constitutional guarantees of fundamental rights and freedoms and their factual situation and to analyze these contradictions. In detail, the text offers analysis of many court decisions from the Czech Republic but also of relevant case-law of the European Court of Human Rights and Human Rights Committee. The author also draws her knowledge of decision-making from her ten- year practice in migration law. The thesis focuses mainly on the legal status of third-country nationals (TCNs), i.e. all non-EU nationals, as with the development of the EU, TCNs remain foreigners or aliens in the true sense of the word. It is true, that with the growing EU legislation on migration have TCNs have certainly gained a more solid status than international law had offered. Specially it concerns guarantees in residence proceedings and related social rights and right to reunification of the family members. Social security of foreigners from the prospective of Czech law

The topic of this bachelor thesis is social security of foreigners from the prospective of Czech law. The thesis is largely aimed at foreigners from third countries and to a smaller extent focuses on foreigners from EU. The thesis is divided into 5 chapters. The first chapter describes social security systems in the Czech Republic. The second chapter provides detailed description of international cooperation in the field of social security. The third chapter gives disclosure of the term "Foreigner" and covers details on his legal status under Czech law. The forth chapter is the key chapter of this thesis as it is aimed at participation of foreigners in social security systems from the point of view of Czech law. Finally, the last chapter evaluates legal status of foreigners in social security systems in the Czech Republic.
Immigration Crisis in Greece 1990-2012

The presented thesis deals with current immigration crisis in Greece, which has not been examined in the Czech Republic so far. The macro-level analysis elaborates process of immigration to Greece with emphasis on the period 1990-2012. Causation of the immigration is clarified through historical-demographical, sociopolitical and legislative point of view. Greece was hit by immigration wave due to the process of globalization framework and the crisis is not inflicted exclusively by the Hellenic state. This is demonstrated by the elaboration of the European legislative system and the EU policy towards immigration. Contrary to this, the Hellenic failure regarding management of immigration policy is made of insufficient complexity and flexibility of national legislation and its slow development especially in 1990s. The other specific issue is rise of racism among Hellenes. Roots of xenophobia are examined by the conception of Hellenic nationality and historical-demographical method natural history, through which statistical data are put in the chronological order. Europeanization of the immigration policy of the Czech Republic

The thesis analyses the immigration policy of the Czech Republic through the prism of Europeanization theories. The first chapter provides a theoretical platform for the subsequent analysis. It deals with the concept of Europeanization and its possible interpretations. Special attention is given to the so-called downloading and to the specific features of this process in the states of Central and Eastern Europe. The second chapter offers an outline of the development of immigration policy in the European Union from the 1980s, when the first common measures in this area were taken, to the present day. The third chapter concentrates in a similar way on the immigration policy of the Czech Republic as it has been developing since the 1990s, when immigration started to appear as a new phenomenon in the country. The last chapter gives an analysis of the Czech immigration policy as compared with analogous trends in Europe. Coming out of the theoretical concepts stated in the first chapter it assesses the processes of Europeanization in this field.
